It's been a pretty long time since the last update, and much happened !
First of all we received the visit of a veterinarian from Ribbon Gum Park, who checked on all of our horses before the competition season. Nothing to be worried about ! Devil's Name was in great shape, still growing so no competition for him for now.

But the surprised came with the car of Ribbon Park. As I was waiting for the vet, I saw her take a big black horse off a van. He was very calm and discovering with curiosity the stable. Beatha suddendly appeared from the house, walking fast (for an old lady) toward the van. She talked for a few minutes with the vet and took the horse herself, bringing him to the small pasture of stallions.

I had to wait a couple of hours to know what was going on. Dev had just finished his vet check (I'll send photos later by the way !) when I saw Luukas and Beatha approaching the pasture. Luukas seemed pretty upset, so I snooped around a bit to hear their conversation :

"You know I don't want to ride again, that's crazy. I'm not ready yet. When she went away ...."
"I think you're more than ready, Luukas. And don't tell me you prefer to chop wood. We have enough wood for a hundred years,it's time you move on !"
"You shouldn't have buy it. I won't ride again."
"Just try for your old mother, please."

They arrived to the field. The black horse lift his head, showing his white marking on his head. He was gorgeous. He decided to approach, probably to see if there was any carrots for him ...

"His name is Castlevania. He's 4 and already broke, but still very young."

Luukas got nearer the horse, looking at him in a strange way. He stayed silent. Beatha said :

"Take this as a challenge, like you need to educate this horse. Except it will be for you this time ..."

They stayed silent a minute, and Luukas gently pet Castlevania of the forehead.

"Okay I can try."
