"Alright this is the beginning of the way."
Jacob was in front of me, up his little blonde mare. He showed me a broad and clear path, among trees. When our horses was stopped, we could only hear the silence of the forest.


Dev' was pretty agitated, despite all my efforts to calm him down. The presence of the mare didn't make things better.

"This path is the best for canter around here, Jacob said. I think the little Devil could use some !" He smiled at me. "I'll go first if you want, you'll just have to follow."
 

I felt pretty confident, so I nodded. He took a slow trot, and we followed up. After a few seconds, he took a calm canter. Dev was hard to contain, and when I let him canter, he suddenly was launched on the path like a rocket. I managed to slow him down but, hey, I let him have fun a bit.

The snow was flying around us. The forest was rustlessing. As I was trying not to loose control, I felt like I was in the heart of nature, the wild, cold one. It felt like the only warm thing around was Devil', and let me say that it's a sensation you don't have everyday.
